In a remarkable two-day offensive, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have gained control over an expansive area of 90 square kilometres, surpassing the enemy's eight-month occupation during the battle for Bakhmut.
Deputy Minister of Defense, Hanna Malyar, confirmed that the troops advanced 6.5 kilometres during the offensive operation in the Donetsk and Tavriysk operational areas. Additionally, seven settlements were successfully liberated from enemy control.
Despite a comparatively lower intensity of fighting in the Bakhmut direction, the enemy launched 418 artillery strikes and carried out one air raid. The Defense forces effectively countered these attacks, neutralizing 53 occupiers, injuring 118, and capturing two prisoners.
In a separate attack, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the successful destruction of 11 out of 14 cruise missiles launched by the enemy during a nighttime missile attack.
